Medford's Downtown Flags

Since 2008, flags have been flying in Downtown Medford on Patriotic holidays, thanks to the efforts of several local community organizations, including the Medford Emblem Club, The Kiwanis Club of Medford, the Medford Elks Lodge, the American Legion and the Medford Chamber of Commerce.

The flags are 36-inches by 60-inches attached to eight-foot poles attached to City of Medford light poles (with thanks for the permission of the City Council)

Phase I of the project is in place and includes the portion of Downtown on Central Avenue from 5th Street to 9th Street and on Main Street from Bartlett to Fir Streets.

Phase II will extend the display area on Main Street from Fir to Oakdale Avenue ande on 8th Street from Oakdale to Riverside Avenue.

Phase III will complete the plan by extending the flags displayed on Central from 4th to 10th Streets, on Main Street from Hawthorne Park to Bartlett and on Riverside Avenue from 10th to 4th Streets.

The first 72 flags of Phase I were purchased and assembled thanks to the generous contributions from the Medford City Council, The Kiwanis Club of Medford, SASCO Fasteners, Oregon Fir Millwork and many individuals.

Please help the Flag Committee complete Phases II and III.  For $55, you can sponsor a flag and have it dedicated to a loved one.  The name of the honored one will be placed on the flag pole.  Donations can be sent to:
